Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule, wife of Nasarawa State governor, has drummed support for Sen. Bola Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), to succeed in February election.
She also called on people of the state and Nigerians at large to vote Gov. Abdullahi Sule and all other APC candidates in the general election.
Hajiya Sule made the appeal on Friday in Akwanga at the Nasarawa North APC women’s campaign for the re-election of Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other APC candidates.
The governor’s wife also called on women and other Nigerians, who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so to exercise their rights during the general election.
“It is only with the PVCs that you will vote Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other APC candidates in the general election.
“Voting Tinubu, my husband and other APC candidates will enable you and others to enjoy much needed dividends of democracy.
“As APC governments at both the national and state levels have performed well and still doing well in touching on our peoples’ lives positively,” she said.
Hajiya Sule added that with Tinubu as president of Nigeria and Sule as governor, there would be more empowerment of women and other citizens.
The Nasarawa first lady urged the women to always support their husbands for the betterment of their families and the society at large.
Mrs Mary Enwongulu, former Commissioner for Women Affairs, and Mrs Blessing Ebuga, state APC Women Leader, among others, also drummed support for Tinubu, Sule and all other APC candidates in the general elections.
In separate speeches, they said that President Muhammadu Buhari and Sule-led APC administrations have empowered and still empowering the women and other citizens, hence, the need for Nigerians to give their votes to APC during the elections.
Alhaji Safiyanu Isa, the Executive Chairman, Akwanga Local Government Council, commended Sule for his developmental strides across the state.
Isa said that the governor’s developmental efforts have improved the standard of living of the people of the state positively.
The chairman called on the people of the area and the state at large to vote Sule and all other APC candidates in the general elections.
